Upcoming exhibition at Wij Gardens in Ockelbo, Sweden, “Among Moths and Armored Mollusks – The Reconstructed Observations of Jonas Falck”. Opening: Sunday, July 20 at 1 PM. On view until September 6, 2025.
The exhibition centers around Jonas Falck, a long-forgotten nature enthusiast full of curiosity and imagination, active during the late 18th century. Though dismissed by his peers in his time, Falck never let go of his scientific passion. Since 2014, his curious world has been brought back to life through detailed drawings, ceramic fossils, and written observations that blend scientific method with fantastical interpretation. The exhibition offers a glimpse into what happens when we allow ourselves to stay open to wonder and possibility.
